i have long hair and i want to keep it that way but i want to change my hair style.

I was going through the same situation! I wanted to get a hair cut and I really wanted ashleys/Nicoles/Hilary's side swept bangs! I also wanted to get layers. I was a bit nervous at first, but after printing out a few pictures and asking the same questions like you I ended up being satisfied and I was ready to go for it!

It actually turned out great!!!!

Nicole Richie has great bangs, but they are a bit lengthy!!! I say you go for Hilary Duffs or Ashley Tisdales!! All of them have side swept swept bangs, but you can see Hil's layers which looks really really nice!!! I have the same style and I love it!!!

I think its a great style. Remember it also depends on your face shape! Since you have long hair this style is gonna be great. To pull your look together add some layers. You can get the blended layers or even front layers! I have front layers and side swept bangs! It really does look great!!! And my hair is still at a long length! Refer to Hilarys picture (yours)

I love ashley Tisdales side swept bangs too! It looks really nice. It just swoops over your forehead! Its the perfect look and it works with most face shapes.

I reccomend you talk to your hairstylist first because their the professionals!!! talk to the hairstylist that will spend a bit more time with you.

I just got my hair cut as well. I am always scared but I needed something new. I like to go in and tell them do what you want I just dont want it pass this point. I like that because they usaly do better when they do what they want. Just be sure to tell them kinda how you want it if you want a certain style. Good luck.
