I'm a male with manly long hair. how does my hair look? do you think I need to fix any split ends or add layers? Last time I did that was like 6 months ago. I was thinking about trimming the split ends off and add a few layers but I'm afraid of my hair being cut too short which is why I might get my mother to just trim split ends off for me. But anyways part of me has considered keeping the split ends and keeping the natural untrimmed look and also that it's kinda feminine to trim split ends and add some layers like sometimes I think guys with long hair should keep it messy and girls should be the ones with long pretty hair.. But I dunno. I can't make up my mind arr! lol.

I like the way I look with long hair so please don't say "cut it all so you won't have to choose".

dude, split ends are ugly, and will split all the way up ruining your hair, they MUST be trimmed every once in a while, so your hair will be able to grow out and not keep splitting your hair shorter. It's very hard to find a haircutter who won't cut all your hair off, they're psycho like that. but when you finally find one...jackpot. and don't go to anyone elce you'll be pissed having to start at square one. Remember all trimmed ends will grow faster. If I was as freaked out as you, I would keep an eye out for someone who has hair you like and ask him. I cried the first time I had my bangs cut at 17. Today, I can't have the same all the time, I'm constantly changing mainly led by finances. You won't die, it's a part of the growing process. Messy curly is hot, messy nasty isn't.

You should definitely trim split ends, so it doesn't look unhealthy and you should also put it in layers so it doesn't look boring.

Umm...if you absolutely INSIST on having long hair (%26gt;.%26lt;)...split ends aren't attractive on ANYONE. So TRIM it. You're already willing to have long hair so you need to maintain it as well.

Sorry, but I think you would look better if you cut your hair. It would be more slimming. If however you're working out and getting trim then keep the long locks. Long hair is super hot on a guy whose toned. Then just trim it. Layers on a guy shows too much obsession on his hair. Long hair on a male tends to weigh you down and looks grungy.

WELL IF YOU LOOK LIKE THE GUY IN THE PICTURE, I THINK THAT YOU WOULD LOOK BEST WITH A SHORTER HAIR CUT. NOT ALL THE WAY OFF, BUT MAYBE JUST BELOW YOUR EARS OR A LITTLE ABOVE YOUR SHOULDERS. YOUU COULD FLIP IT OUT, MAKE IT LOOK A LIL MESSY, OR GET SHORT LAYERS.

AND I WOULD GO GET IT PROFESSIONALLY DONE NOT BY YOUR MOTHER, NO OFFENSE. AND TRIMMING SPLIT ENDS IS NOT A "FEMININE" THING TO DO. WHY DO YOU THINK MOST MEN WITH SHORT HAIR GO TO GET A TRIM?? HAHA. IT'S TRUE THOUGH.

If you don't trim the split ends they will move up the rest of each strand and your hair will break off so you'll end up cutting it off anyway. Trim the ends and see a stylist to recommend a long style that goes with your face shape. It is not "girly" to take care of yourself. Most women would prefer to date someone who looks like they take care of themselves over dating a slob anyday =) good luck!

If you have split ends your hair is uneven at the bottom cut as much as you need to get an even healthy appearance to your ends. I don't think layers would look good on a guy, so ditch the idea. If your hair is straight you should cut straight across on the bottom, it will look much better. If your hair is slightly wavy go with a slight u shape on the bottom and use a curl definition shampoo and a little frizz fighting serum. If you wanna wear it straight find a shampoo that helps you acheive that and use the frizz fighting serum and blow dry it straight with a round brush, but don't curl the ends in. You can also use a flat iron on medium heat so your hair is straight but don't overdo it, you don't want it to be obvious that you used one.
