How should i ask for a short hair cut?

i have long hair now, about 3-4 inches, but i wanna get it short. though not buzzed on the sides, maybe like an inch all over but a little longer on the front.. could you show me pictures of what you like, and im not sure how to ask for it cause usually my haircuts are disasters.

hope i helped you and to ask the hairdresser you just can print out the picture you want and show her it and tell her that this is what you want and before you get the hair dresser ask for someone that is experienced in the hair so u dont get a new person that does it bad. so show her the pic then say if you want it any different but if you dont like these go on yahoo images and type in things like short hair styles and look through them till you find the one you like. ok bibi hope i helped :)

Tell the barber you want it short, but not shaved.. and leave a little on top. Works for me...
