There are ways of getting it cut to add volume, i personally don't know them but i would ask your hairdresser.

Also if you use a big barreled round brush when drying your hair it will add some volume.

Ignore that other girl, guys do love long, sleek beautiful hair as long as it is looked after. Just think of the modals you know and how they have long hair.

Cut it short, you'll get natural springiness back in no time. And long hair really doesn't look good if it's flat on top. Also, men really do prefer shorter hair and with some pizzazz to it.

If you blow-dry your hair, you could try blow-drying it straight up, instead of flat. It helps add volume to your hair. Take a brush and brush it straight up off your head while blowdrying.

I have that same problem. The best solution is to get a root perm. The next best is to take biotin every day, it will lift your hair at the roots, or at least it helped mine like that. It's not a huge change, but it does indeed help.

You could have the top layer cut shorter. If you do that top layer shouldn't really connect to the upper back layers because that will make the overall length to thinned out. Upper back layer should be dropped down from the first layer. Ihope that makes sense.
