Long blonde hair. Hm. That's a hard one. Do you LIKE your hair long? Or would you rather have it short and out of the way? I LOVE having long hair, so I would (almost) never cut it. If you decide to cut it, your head should feel considerably lighter. If it was your decision to cut it, then you should like it. If it was a good cut from a good hairdresser, you should look ready for social interation.

If you do decide to keep it long, however, you hair could be put into a bun, layered, colored, put into a ponytail, braided, among other things, to keep it interesting and pretty.

I would flip through magazines that specialize in shorter/justpastshoulder cuts that are customized to the shape of your face.

Ex:

Oval faces shouldn't have really blunt cuts, where heart shaped faces can handle that.

Also, even if you do get it cut and don't like it right away, I've had experiences where I grow to really love the style.

I loved my hair shorter. I recently cut mine so that it just touches my shoulders. I had it layered around my face so it falls nicely around, and looks sophisticated (or so I think!). If you have an oval face you should get some layers to keep your hair from making your face look longer. Don't cut your hair shorter than mine (just at the shoulders) if you have a long neck. If you do go shorter than shoulder length, you have to work harder to fix it everyday depending on style so keep that in mind. Try going shoulder length, that way it's not too short, and if you don't like it, it will grow back long soon enough. Shoulder lenth also isn't "extreme", and you can still get it in a pony tail. Just add a headband to hold your bangs. Good luck. :o)

Sometimes. The best advice I can give is as follows:

look through lots of magazines

find a style that looks good on people with your shape of face and colouring

find a style that you will be able to manage afterwards

find a hairdresser who has a good reputation for cutting hair. Personal recommendations are best.

If you can go and try a wig on, it will give you some idea.

finally, it is worth investing your time before you have your hair cut as once its snipped, its gone !!

If your hair is really long, don't forget to send it to 'Locks Of Love' or similar so that a little one who has lost their hair through Chemo can have a wig made. If you can, get people to sponser you and give the money to charity. It all helps if you regret your decision later. Chill out if you don't like it, your hair will grow again.....

I did a drastic cut but did some investigating before hand on one of those websites that you can pick the shape of your face %26amp; choos a color or haircut. It took me a while before I did but I ended up going all the way %26amp; chopping it.

I love it now %26amp; i donated all of my hair to locks of love.

Find a website like I found (sorry but I found it with luck) %26amp; check it out. Print it out %26amp; ask your most honest friends %26amp; family what they think.

Just be sure its what you want %26amp; remeber that it grows back.

i just recently had mine cut after thinking about it for months....i LOVE it. it was such a fresh change. i had hair to my mid back, i got it cut to rest on my shoulders with some shorter layers. it looks really good.
