I think people are culturally conditioned to see long hair as more feminine which, as a woman with extremely short hair, I see as kind of a load of garbage (if you like having long hair, that's fine, of course). Thankfully my husband doesn't have such limited, old-fashioned views. Good for you for cutting yours off! I've known so many women who want to cut their hair but keep it long because their husband/boyfriend looooves long hair. Let him grow some and see what a hassle it is!
